Durham, NC, Aug 8 th , 2022 -Innatrix, Inc., an agricultural biotechnology company
developing eco-friendly biological products to control critical crop diseases, announced
the appointment of Ted Kahn, Ph.D., as Vice President Research & Development.
For more than 20 years, Ted Kahn has worked at small, medium-sized, and large
agricultural biotechnology companies, where he has contributed scientifically to many
steps in the development of new products, from earliest discovery to advanced stages
in the development pipeline. His work has led to more than two dozen patents and peer-
reviewed publications. He discovered and helped develop what is expected to be the
first commercialized nematode-control trait in the agtech industry. This work has
been published in the prestigious journal Nature Communications, with Ted as the first
and corresponding author.
Ted is a dedicated and passionate leader with broad expertise in agricultural pests,
biochemistry, molecular biology, project management, and securing intellectual
property. He also established and managed industry collaborations with many academic
labs to develop new methods to discover and characterize novel pest control proteins.
Ted received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biochemistry from Cornell
University, and his Ph.D. in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale University,
and he was a postdoctoral fellow with Roger Beachy at The Scripps Research Institute.
Currently, Ted is leading research at Innatrix to discover new methods of controlling
plant diseases and nematodes.
About Innatrix
